The Satellite Escort Service with Device involves installing an additional device alongside the GPS already installed in the transport unit. This device is strategically placed in the cargo or trailer and allows tracking even if it becomes separated from the main unit (tractor).
Requirements to hire the service:
Installation at least 4 hours prior to shipment departure to coordinate with the installer and the LT (Transport Logistics) coordinator.
How does the Satellite Escort Service work?
A specialized installer is assigned and contacts the LT coordinator to ensure the unit is available prior to device installation.
The service is carried out using either a returnable or disposable device, depending on the selected service type:
Disposable Device
This device is strategically placed within the cargo or inside the container before it is sealed. It does not require collection upon arrival and automatically ends the service once the cargo reaches its destination.
Returnable Device
Installed in the trailer or cargo box and must be returned to the point of origin when the trailer returns with the unit. The equipment is collected by an operator who coordinates pickup upon arrival at origin.
